About Guwahati Branch

The Branch started in the year 1977-78. First Chairman of the branch was CA. K.C. Das. It got Best Branch awards from EIRC 1996, 1999, 2004, 2005 & 2nd Best Branch Awards 1998-2001. Guidance Note on Sales Tax Audit was Published in 2000.

Current activities

• Web Site Guwahati- cai.org is under process.
• Fortnightly E-News Letter is published since May 1st.
• A Fixed CPE programme named as " Saturday Meet" is being organised at branch premises on every first Saturday of the month.
• Research Committee has been formed to publish guidelines on VAT audit.
